This Monavie blog post is like nothing else you’ll read on the topic. The truth will come out even if it’s ugly so help me identify it by correcting me if you see me say something that’s just not right. I’ve researched and verified this information against many sources so if you do correct me, please cite your source otherwise we’ll just let you voice your opinion.

Let’s get started

What Is Monavie?

The term Monavie refers to both the company itself as well as their line of juice products with different blends of the Brazilian acai berry, antioxidants and other nutrients. This word may trigger other words such as scam, pyramid or MLM.

Why?

Well it’s no secret that the company provides an income opportunity using the highly criticized Multi-Level Marketing model, but there is more to it than that. I am going to go into detail with their products, income opportunity, training, studies and other legit reviews I’ve found (this was tough!), but before I do that let me explain what I’ve found to be the average experience people have with the company when they join

Most people hear about the company through a referral from someone they know. It’s often through the phrase “try this”, when someone is trying to get you to sample the product. Now the company will often times explain the features and benefits of the product and sell you on a dream in the form of a great income opportunity.

So far, nothing has gone wrong, but trouble starts when new distributors join as most of them are clueless about the product, its ingredients and most importantly… the marketing aspect of the business.

The people who tend to be attracted to the income opportunity the most, tend to be those who need money the most. The flaw in this and many other network marketing companies is that their independent distributors will run around making claims the company doesn’t make or agree with and because it’s hard to control, the reputation of the company suffers. That’s the main reason why you often see the words scam, or pyramid in the same sentence with Monavie.

But let’s dig a little bit deeper…

Is The Monavie Juice Nothing More Than Pink Cool-Aid?
Oh yes I asked that… it is a valid question and if you are a distributor you shouldn’t take offense to it, but rather learn to answer the question correctly which is what I’m about to show you.

There are five different products that are marketed by the company (and the distributors) which they all center around fruits rich in antioxidants and the oh so famous acai berry. So we’ll start with their power juice known as Monavie Active. This drink is supposed to promote joint health. The MonaVie Pulse is supposed to help your cardiovascular health and it includes the ingredient resveratrol (another highly criticized ingredient online). Then we have their energy drink MonaVie Emv competing against others making the claim that it won’t give you the jitters or the “crash”. Then there is the MonaVie Kosher which is an all around balanced drink with emphasis on antioxidants to fight free radicals. Lastly we have the MonaVie Mmun which is supposed to support the immune system.

So far, there is nothing wrong with the products, or the company but let’s look at the ingredients a bit closer.

The Naked Truth About The MonaVie Ingredients – Good Or Bad?

Antioxidants are basically something we’ve needed since the caveman era. They fight free radicals in our body which is many times linked to illnesses and some diseases. As we get older our levels of antioxidants in our body decreases and that’s just part of our aging process. By the time we are 40 we lose about 50% of our antioxidants. When we are about 60 or 70 years old we only have about 5-10% of antioxidants in our body. (obviously this depends on the diet of the person, but that’s about the average)

Resveratrol and Acai, have been highly promoted as “weight loss” ingredients, but that is not really the case. They are just antioxidants which increase your energy levels. If you drink a juice with these ingredients and you sit on the couch all day long, you won’t make much use of your increased energy levels. The closest link I’ve found to resveratrol and weight loss is that it promotes muscle growth and it’s the muscle that burns fat, not resveratrol.

So the ingredients are all good, but again where MonaVie runs into trouble is when their independent distributors make claims such as “this juice rejuvenates and will keep you from aging” or “It will help you lose weight”.

Well the truth is that, no it won’t make you look younger, but yes the antioxidants will fight free radicals and ultimately make you feel better. Also, it won’t make you lose weight just by drinking it, but if it gives you energy and you are not lazy, you’ll make use of the energy to work out, build muscle and then lose weight.

Now, is this for everyone?

Well of course not. Some people follow very nutritive diets or are young and healthy that they won’t feel a difference by drinking MonaVie. Does that make it ineffective? No! People just react different to it, it’s not a one size fits all. If you don’t follow a healthy and balanced diet, you may see a world of a difference, but understand not everyone will feel the same way. So the only way to find out is to simply try it.

It is said on their website that by drinking 2-4 ounces of MonaVie per day you can get the same amounts of antioxidants and phytonutrients found in some of the most nutritious fruits in the world.

Now again, there is nothing wrong with saying that you can get your nutrients from MonaVie so you don’t have to buy fruits. Is $45 for a bottle of MonaVie Active worth it?

It’s supposed to last a week, so why wouldn’t you just buy the fruit and get your nutrients that way? Well that’s the decision that the consumer makes not us. So maybe you are buying convenience…

Either way there is nothing wrong with pricing here. I’ve seen bottled water sell for $100.00, and no I wouldn’t pay that much for it, but apparently some people are willing to and that’s their decision.

So far, nothing wrong with MonaVie…

Is The Monavie Income Opportunity A Scam Or Pyramid Scheme?

Ok, I’ll give you that it is a legit question, but in short, the answer is no. If we can put aside the stigma of this being Multi-Level Company we can look at what’s reality and what is a bag of dreams (and who’s dreams they are).

To start off, let’s talk about the compensation plan of MonaVie. There are 9 ways you can earn income in this company.

1.Direct Sales
2.Top Retailer Bonus
3.Bulk Order Bonus
4.First Order Bonus
5.Star Maker Bonus
6.Team Bonuses
7.Executive Check Match Bonus
8.Leadership Bonus
9.Multiple Business Centers

You earn 50% commissions and you accumulate points based on the type of sales to earn the other bonuses. Now, trying to explain the compensation plan will put me to sleep, and for the purposes of this discussion it is irrelevant. The point is that you are presented with an opportunity to make money by selling a product that you don’t have to manufacture. You simply market the product and earn your commissions. If Multi-Level Marketing bothers you for whatever reason, try starting your own power juice business and you’ll see why MLM (not necessarily MonaVie) is a great way to get started.

Now, let’s check up on reality here. About half of the people in MonaVie are distributors and they earn on average $23.00 a week… woo hoo! About a third of people in MonaVie are in the Star levels and they earn on average $35-$172 dollars. It’s only the top 3% roughly who are making on average between $7,481.00-$65,548.00 per week! One person earned up to $134,517.00 in one week! Now that’s income and it’s well documented.

That’s like one person out of 100,000.

The funny part, the top guys are not the ones telling people they can become rich with this opportunity, but just about every one in the lower ranks who make on average $23.00 a week are boasting all kinds of promises!

What’s wrong here?

Understanding The MonaVie Training Flaw

Well, ideally you’ll want to learn to sell the product and not the business opportunity. I strongly believe that no Network Marketer should be allowed to sell the income opportunity until they make money themselves. That’s utopia though and the real world is backwards.

See, most people are taught to tell their friends and family. By doing this the average distributor will sponsor 2 people and once they are done with their sphere of influence their business dies. They go away but their upline gets 2 new people to attempt the same.

Why don’t they teach to sell the product? Beats me, but it’s not that hard. It’s as simple as telling the truth and knowing what your customers want.

Quick example. A person walks into a store to buy a 1/4″ drill. The salesman should therefore know that what the customer really wants is a 1/4″ hole and not a 1/4″ drill bit. Therefore, he is better off telling his customer how to make the 1/4″ hole and sell his drill in the story.

It’s no different with MonaVie. Only there are two things to sell, the product and the income opportunity.

The product will be sold by telling people about the true benefits of antioxidants and resveratrol (I said true benefits, not the “lose weight” spam found all over the internet).

The income opportunity should be sold by getting metrics as far as how much does it cost to market (because you need to market if you want to build a business) to people outside your sphere of influence and developing a true training program of your own for your downline. This can only be done if the distributor takes responsibility for their own business and develops a marketing plan, a business plan and they get to work. Unfortunately, the way things are going in America, it’s no longer about taking responsibility… it’s everyone else’s fault!

Anyways, building a true MonaVie business is that simple, but most people are lazy and they want to get rich by telling his brother and sister to tell their friends to join and have them tell their friends and family so that they can sit back, do nothing and get rich… that’s just a laugh, but it’s happening right now.

What About All The Other Monavie Reviews?

Most of them are junk. I’ve only found a couple of people who are truthful and are not afraid to say it to the whole wide world. The rest are either biased or marketing junk which doesn’t make me as mad only because at least I know that the person writing the reviews is somewhat marketing savvy and they are at least trying, unlike the other lazy distributors who clearly need another gulp of MonaVie’s ice cold refreshing emv… but this is no excuse to lie about the product, company or income opportunity.

Here’s all you need to know if you are looking for reviews. The ingredients are real and they have real benefits. The ingredients and nutrients can be found in other places and well, the advantages of this particular drink like I said is mostly convenience, taste (it does taste pretty good), and the income opportunity that comes along with it.

It doesn’t make you younger or lose weight, but it does give you energy which may lead to you losing weight if you use it to exercise and maybe it won’t reverse the aging process, but it sure can make you feel younger if you’re lacking antioxidants in your body… But that’s something that only some individual may benefit from, not necessarily everyone.

Can everyone benefit? I don’t see why not, but some won’t feel any different. That’s just reality.

So lastly, I’ll leave you with some other opinions I’ve found.

Getting To The Core Of MonaVie’s Testimonials

Watch this report which appeared on Fox News. Noticed I said that some people will benefit a lot while other won’t. Let’s see if you can figure out why these testimonials are just obvious..

So, you noticed that the older folks felt a huge difference… why? because they have the lowest levels of antioxidants. It’s not medication it’s nutrition. No other promise should be made. Well, that’s all I have for this company. I hope to have cleared some misconceptions and in case you are wondering, I am no a distributor nor do I want to be. I just like nutrition and I am an internet marketer so I happened to mix two topics I like in here.

Yes I do want you to sign up to my email network marketing tips because I’ll teach you what your upline doesn’t teach you, and if you are just thinking of joining MonaVie, well you don’t want to be in the bottom half now do you?

Hasta Luego!
